Suffering insomnia? Try chiropractic.

While various articles may state different conditions as being the fundamental pillars of health, one that is on every list is sleep. 🛌🏻💤😴

Quality sleep is essential for our mental and emotional health not just our energy levels.

Some people boast they can get by on minimal sleep.

Yet despite what they may think, quality sleep is essential for maintaining optimal health and well-being. 👩🏻‍⚕️

Sleep is just as crucial as regular exercise and eating a balanced diet. 🍓🍎🥑

There are numerous reasons why someone may have trouble sleeping.

However the following almost universally cause disrupted sleep.

➡ Poor dietary choices can impact sleep quality.

➡ Consuming stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine later in the day can make it harder to get to sleep and achieve quality sleep.

➡ While alcohol consumption might make you feel sleepy it contributes to fragmented, non-restorative

➡ Eating heavy meals or spicy meals later in the evening.

➡ conditions such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder - It is estimated that 40% of people with insomnia have a mental health disorder*.

➡ substance abuse disorders

➡ chronic pain

➡ heart and lung disorders, disorders that affect muscles or bones

➡ Stress

➡ Fear of not being able to sleep and the associated fatigue that brings for the next day. This is called psychophysiologic insomnia

➡ Sleeping late or napping in the afternoon

➡ Using digital devices prior to going to bed

Studies indicate that insomnia can aggravate mood and #anxietydisorders, and is an indicator for those at risk of developing anxiety disorders*.

Many of the above conditions may be greatly helped by #chiropractictherapy, by assisting with:

✔ Chronic pain

✔ Stress

✔ Depression

✔ Stress and anxiety levels

✔ Arthritic pain

✔ Spinal and back pain.

#Chiropractic is an easy, affordable, and holistic way to address these conditions. 🧘🏻‍♀️

It is also much better as a long term solution to your #insomnia as opposed to taking medications,💊💊 which will have a far reaching negative impact on your body.

In some cases, the adjustment is all that is needed to get the #insomniac back on track

. And then regular chiropractic maintenance will quite possibly keep insomnia at bay. 😊

Often the simplest method is the best, don't you agree?
